I like it. You did a nice job. Without the filter being in-line with the heater core, i wouldn't think it would plug up very fast, but i would guess that you should change it out soon. The worst of everything that's been floating in there for the last 17 years will get caught pretty quick, then on the second filter you won't catch as much.
I used a big filter temporarily when i flushed the system the first time. I was a sediment filter for our water lines at work. I plugged the first filter after about 5 min of run time, the second plugged in 10 min, and the 3rd ran for 15 and still had a little white on it so I stopped and took it off. I just wanted the worst out of my system.
