I hope that I can clear my head of all that is percieved bad about the 6.0. I just bought a 2006 Lariat with 68k on it. It's a sweet ride and hopefully is what I have wanted for oh so long. So here is the problem. Just the other day the family and I were coming back from a camping adventure and while cruising down the road climbing a hill like I had for a couple of hundred miles the truck started to loose power for no apparent reason. The engine started to hesitate almost like it was misfiring. To that though there was not a trace of any kind of smoke out the rearend and all temps were in check. Once I had to pull off because I think that it would have stalled.
Since i'm knew to the diesel scene i'm not sure where to start. After spending some time reading through many posts it seems you either love or hate the 6.0. I just want the darn thing to work. Yes it's used and I don't really know the exact mantenence that was perfomed, but the truck is really clean. No leaks, no smoke. Can any of you give me some insight before I head to the dealer this week. Thanks alot.
