15s will not fit on your 2008 truck anyway. if you put a bigger tire on the stock rim your gonna be asking for trouble. The stock rims are only like 7.5 or maybe 8 inches wide and your going to put a 38 inch tire on it....not safe.
I agree with whats stated above. 22s or 24s are the way to go but we will be the minority on that opinion. I would never go less than a 20 inch. Your in the right ballpark with wanting to go with a 38" tire.
As for suggestions Toyo makes a nice tire that lasts if properly maintained.
