Yeah but I never trust those "never need to check or change for 500,000 miles or 5 years" coolants I still like to check for myself just in case. Not to knock you Ty its just how I am. I remeber when dex was 5 years 500,000 miles and you would not belive how many trash coolant systems came from not changing the coolant in thoses chevys. Plus if mixed with air dex becomes highly acidic eating plastic intake gasket frames and most surfaces lol. Chevy still insists there is no problem but they reformulated the dex and recomend flushing older vehicles and replacing with good ol green. See the way I look at it they can claim anything they want but its me that has to deal with a ruined vehicle and with my truck as a daily driver and that I am blessed enough to have a steady job I dont want to take any changes. Only takes 1 strip and a few minutes of my time to be sure everything is up to snuff and its worth it to me.
