While I also agree that is the owners responsibility, I also think that the dealer should at least suggest the maintenance that needs to be done at the required intervals. If you choose not to, so be it. It's your baby. But if the dealer doesn't even suggest that it needs to be done, I can see your point.
You wouldn't go to the dentist for a 6 month cleaning and be told you needed a root canal because he didn't tell you you had a cavity a year ago???
