Question Steering Wheel Play

Hi Guys,

Truck is a '97 F350 CC Dually auto with 129K miles. For the last couple of years there is a bit of play in the steering. It feels a little "loose" for the first inch or so of travel when turning right and then it "stiffens" up and feels normal. You really don't feel this when the wheel is turned to the left. The truck tracks straight on the road and does not wander. I just replaced all 4 shocks since they were original and my "floating" has disappeared but apart from this work, I assume that all the front end parts are stock/original. Any thoughts of where I should start looking. Don't really want to spend a lot since the truck will likely be traded within 2 yrs and the steering hasn't gotten worse, it's more of a case of "I know this isn't exactly right" and if the fix is relatively simple I will do it.

Thanks!!
