There have been quite a few guys post that they were having issues with the new Ford gray replacement CPS.......specifically, their trucks were failing the cylinder contribution test for #3 and #8. They put in the black CPS, and all was fine. I would assume that there would be a significant drop in power if #3 and #8 were failing. In mine, power seems the same......just runs smoother and quieter with the black CPS. But for an extra 2-2.5mpg, I'll go with the gray CPS, and just hope that #3 and #8 run fine.
