I finally had enough and took mine (2006

F350 SD 6.0 4x4) to the dealer. "stealer"

Had the Hydro-boost replaced and the steering gear replaced. After all wheel alignment, it was over $2K My truck had just over 41K miles on it.

I did a search on a few forums and thought maybe it's the valve in the gearbox. So I've been driving it until it does it more consistently so I can figure out for sure what it is.
A couple of days ago I noticed that my brake pedal would kick back, and now the power steering pump is whining, but not all the time.
So do I have a bad pump? Bad steering box? Or bad Hydroboost?
How do I test these?
