Many times cleaning egr valve is not very effective. If you still have issues after cleaning, you will most likely need to replace valve. Ford no longer recommends cleaning if they are sticking, they recommend replacement. Our dealer has been hit up about an intake cleaning procedure that runs chemicals through intake to remove carbon deposits. We felt it was overpriced and sceptical about how effective it would be. For what it cost to perform procedure, I would recommend removing intake and steamcleaning. With intake off and steamcleaning, you can visually see that the carbon/coking is removed from intake.
