Abnormal tire wear

Hey, my tires are getting pretty worn, so I've been looking at replacing them. The last time I inspected them, they weren't wearing properly and I haven't had a chance to put it up on jacks and check it out so I thought I would ask if anybody has ideas about what might be wrong. I want to fix it before I replace the tires.

The drivers side front tire inside shoulder is worn off and the passengers side front tire outside shoulder is worn off. When I'm going over hard bumps there is sometimes a wierd clunking noise coming from the front wheel well area. I haven't messed with any of the suspension stuff since I have owned the truck except for putting pro-comp shocks on about a year or two ago.

The other thing (don't think it's related but not sure) is when going around a corner at low speed, the front end feels like it's surging a little, similar to when you're in four wheel but not as bad. Are the hubs not releasing the front shatfts or something?

Thanks for the help.
