I feel the same way about this clunker program as I do about the home loan bailout. Why should my taxes go to make a down payment for a new car for somebody? I have a 91 pickup with 200,000 miles on it. I would NEVER consider asking you or anyone else to use your tax dollars to make a down payment on a new truck. That is my responsibility and mine alone!
Just like the ripoffs on the housing deal. Shove a person into a home that they could not afford or wanted to "flip" and then ask me to bail them out when the housing market crashed. That is BS and so is this clunker ripoff!!
