to me the nitro was a hassle becuase every time you take it out you spend 20 minutes tuning it to run right(mixture screws). it always changes becuase temperature, type of fuel, age of fuel and so on. if you enjoy tinkering with that type of stuff go for it. but the electric never has to be tuned and is consistant. plug and play. dont go thinking that these are like walmart rc trucks they arent. ive got almost $1000 in my fastest truck. oh and you also have transmissions on gas that break and need clutches. but a quality truck with batteries and a good PEAK charger you will have at least $500 in it to start. batteries only take about an hour to charge so get extras and charge while you play. one of my chargers also will connect to the battery of my real truck to charge if i take em somewhere without electricity. not trying to discourage you from nitro but i have had plenty of both and love the electric, but thats my opinion. just do some research before you buy and if you have any questions fell free to ask me.
