I would just let it be. Or possibly adding a canister if the smell bothers you.
With the exhaust bung you run the risk of increasing the backpressure on your CCV system and turning your engine into a gusher. I've never understood why people feel the need to run it into the exhaust. You basically end up with a risky and unnecessary set up.
