I'm doing it now and I drive a sister to what you drive. Within the last month, I've posted quite a bit about my (mis)adventures using oil. I haven't been able to get it to work right all the time but for the overall price, well, you know,,,, it's worth a try.

Just got back from a 300 mile trip Saturday and only burned 10 gallons of diesel. Had some problems along the way and I have been posting my experiences and asking plenty of questions but not many people have had definitive answers. Some post things like "you shouldn't have....". Kinda disappointing but it's all part of the learning curve.

There's a fella around the different boards, not sure if he's on this board or not - JSKI55 - who runs MO and has been doing it for a while, and I plan to find him and ask some questions.

My filtering setup was simple, call it CRUDE. I gravity fed thru a garden hose to a Fram PF8 (Ford engine oil filter) then thru a whole house rope wound water filter. That gave me 10 microns. Or maybe it was 5. I disremember. But I was only able to get about 5 gallons a day thru it but at that point I was patient and hadn't gotten the truck set up to carry the fuel yet. I have since added a 50 gallon tank in the bed and then I filled it with my filtered gold. Since then, I have built a pump from a 4 cylinder Chevy S10 engine to drive the filters. That should increase my throughput.

Anyway, do some reading and post back here to let us me know what you might have found that could help us both.
