I felt an overall improvement in both shifting and in engine performance. In the "middle" setting, which is at a 91 octane, I have found that anywhere from 88-91 seems to work fine. The Airaid intake system comes with all necessary parts. Someone asked me if I had tried the "performance" 93 octane setting, but I have been running the "middle" for over 40k and I am very satisfied with it on that setting, so I have not changed it and don't plan to. for one thing, out here in the west, it's hard to find 93 octane, so I just left it like it was. For a total of $600 for both the intake and programmer, I believe it's worth every penny.
