Should I be worried.. Engine got hot

So I lost my water pump and tensioner going down the freeway this weekend traveling home from a trip. When I heard a noise from under the hood going down the freeway I pulled over. The belt was almost gone and water gasket on the pump had given out. Since I had my 3 kids, wife, and two dogs in the truck and we were about 1000 mile from home. I put the spare belt on and filled the radator and moved the truck about three miles. Then filled it again and moved it another 5 miles to the parts store were I replace the pump in the parking lot of an autozone.

Should I be worried about any other damage that might of been caused by a hot engine. I'm not sure how hot the engine got sine the temp gauage only spiked once. After the repair we drove 1000 miles hot with out a problem.
