The maxxforce 7 is hardly a successful engine. The "heavy burden" of urea should be less than the "nightmare" of replacing washer fluid. I'm up for the extra work.
It's not like ford is the only company going to urea.
Ford wouldn't be doing the change without a loss of confidence in the maxxforce line. In the current economy it's the last thing their senior management would want.
I hope the new engine leads to a new 4 litter diesel design. But I suppose it could be another problem engine and a dead end.
