I had the same issue with my 09 F250 w/6 in lift. Felt like the rear dif was going bad. The carrier bearing had been replaced two months earlier and the mechanics forgot to lube the splines on the slip joint. Dealer re-lubed the slip joint, half hour later back on the road with no more problems. May be the same issue with yours?
