It's a known problem. The computer purposely defuels when EGTs rise in the EGR system. There is nothing wrong with your truck, and there was likely nothing wrong with your recently replaced high pressure turbo either.

Lemme guess, you were towing uphill in hot weather and the beginning of the hill was fine? Then the power drops off?
Bingo! That is Fords answer also - normal operations.
