Why do you recommend the stock one up to 500 hp?

It would seem to me that a more efficient filter and a straighter pipe w/out the bellows and the various connections to cause turbulance, and an open box to make the air flow easier and smoother would be a huge advantage.
the air is going into the compressor wheel turbulence don't matter much, your filter minder will let you know when you need to upgrade intakes. intakes do make the engine compartment look nice, my friend installed an xdi intake and it looks good
