If the key is in the correct position none of that will run, and the steering wheel will be unlocked.

Good luck with that. When I worked there I tried to get manglement interested in running towing tests and developing ways to tow four down. None of the manglement in transmission engineering Rv'd so they had no interest.
I do know that the TorqShift trans does not like spinning without the engine running. We failed several transmissions on dynamometers when the dyno had a problem and reset. The trans would spin from the dyno and the one way clutch would get trashed from lack of lube flow.
