AFE filter grades?
I pose a question on the different grades of filters AFE has to offer.
(PG-7) - (Pro DryS) - (Pro 5r)
My questions is unless your driving on a gravel road all of the time why wouldn't you use the Pro 5r? It is supposed to have the best flow numbers and is rated to be better at protecting from dust than a stock filter (as far as AFE's info says). I know the Pro DryS allows you to get away from cleaning and re-oiling but other than that why would you choose the Pro Dry over the 5r.
How much off road traveling deems it necessary to use the Pro 7 or the Pro DryS for that matter?
Let me ask you this as well. If the 5r is better than a stock filter and most people aren't afraid to drive off road with stock filters, why wouldn't the 5r suffice in most cases.
Just something I have been wondering about.
