Could be several things, but I am not sure. Maybe the fuel you are using (marine) is not ULSD, maybe the fuel system on the BIG engines is not effected by the loss of lubricants, and maybe because the tolerances are much bigger on your type of fuel system. Not really sure any apply but they are the first things that came to mind.
I like to have the insurance of a good fuel additive, it would take a lot of summer blend Opti-lube to make up for the cost of just one injector let alone a pump.
Diesel Power Magizine just did a test of the Opti-Lube products and said it was good stuff, don't have my copy yet but will have it soon.
