IMHO the newest Kenwood DNX series are the best Nav head units out there. Fantastic. I've installed 3 this year and folks love them dearly. Kenwood did the smart thing and didn't try to reinvent the wheel. They stuck to the audio design while letting Garmin do the Nav and Parrot do the Bluetooth, the two undisputed chapions in their respective technologies. The result is a very intuitive product that does what it's supposed to do and sounds great!
One of the projects was a DNX-6140 in a Super Duty with a JBL stealthbox under the center seat. I kind of like a real volume knob and that and the comensurate screen size is the only real difference between the 6140 and 7140. To step up to the 9140 only makes sense if the vehicle has surround-sound speakers including center channel.
