I am missing something......
trying to get my new-to-me boat trailer wired up for my truck. Trailer has a flat 5 connector. Truck has a flat 4 connector, and the round 7 connector.
(the fifth pin on the trailer connector is for the "brake lock-out" solenoid)
So......the only issue I am having is that there is not 12 volts present on the center pin when I have the truck in reverse.....all of the other lights are working normally.
Manuel (Mitchel online) calls for a "trailer tow relay". Fuse panel under the dash is full except for 3 spaces.....(211, 212, 213 I believe) which owners manuel says "not used". These appear to be a half sized, 5 pin relay socket.
NAPA looked in their computer system, says that the full sized relay is all they show.......
Under the hood, there is a small box just behind the airbox, with 1 regular size relay, and 2 of these "smaller sized" relays.......point being, NO EMPTY SOCKET.
anybody have a suggestion where I should be looking for this Trailer Tow Relay?
THanks in advance, this website has saved me alot of grief! <img>
