thanks all.
I guess, more specifically, the center pin of the 7 terminal connector is "supposed to be" hot when the truck shifts to reverse. Mine is not. the 12 volt terminal is hot, and all the other lights work fine.
I guess if the relay is already there....it may be bad. Yep, must be......
