Too bad, it is probably too late but maybe you can file a complain with your local Better Business Bureau and claim questionable business practices. In the end you will have to just say you paid more for the truck then you though you had...

I would always do the oil changes yourself. With the engine top mounted filter the oil change is easy. You do the oil change the exact way you did with the 6.0 (same filter and capacity). The center most cap is the oil filter the one that is forward and to the drivers side is the fuel filter (not the same filters as the 6.0) I don't think the valve is magnetic and i am not too sure it is really that important past the first couple oil changes. So i would almost not worry about it.
