Curiously, was your truck slated for a buyer in Ca and maybe re-routed? That sounds oh to familiar as my truck will also be as loaded as a KR F-450 can be minus the Nav due to Ca emissions. Could Tx be taking the following the example set by Ca? nah, they cannot be that socialist.
I have posted this prior to your thread. This will also come up in the 2011 as I have been told by a source much closer to the new beast than I. Auto idle emissions shutdown minus the NAV. I considered holding out for it and the 6.7L.
Out here in beautiful Ca the emissions conscious auto idle shut off (nor the back up camera on the screen) will not work in conjunction with the Nav. A wire loom issue is what the verdict is. Every time I write this it makes less sense than the last time I did it but oh well.
Here is a positive. I am told the rearview mirror still has the runway back up system which is in the tailgate?
The answer is the work solutions application available with the Garmin nav. It is Ford product and has some pretty cool features in its own right. I just don't think I will need or be using all those features. More to come.
