May be worth while pursuing as I only became aware of the tactic recently.
I owned a 6.0L previously and did the oil changes myself. Very simple process (just not when the temps are hovering around -30!). It's nice to hear they use the same oil filter at least. Is there a shelf life on the filter? I have one in the box that's pushing 2 years old now.
