I personally won't miss the stick, my industry (towing and recovery) has more and more auto's anyway. At least Ford is giving us a full manual shift mode. When you set it to manual mode, they claim it has a stick shift feel, and won't shift gears until you press the shift up or down buttons. Not the same I know, but a decent compromise for the low number of stick buyers.

All my repo trucks are auto too. can you believe i actually have guys, yes guys that can not even drive a stick?? anyway in a company type situation, auto is the only way to go. someone who does own the truck and does not have to pay to repair it needs an auto so they do not tear something up. perfect example of the auto being for lazy people and stupid people. but the few personal guys that one in their truck because they really like the way the truck works and feels are going to out their truck. now we all have to conform to the masses, but trust me that is not always the best. I personally hate it, and will not buy another auto. I had three of my own, and they are more troublesome for me to drive than my sticks. meaning they jump gears, will nt pull in cruise mode without downshifting when the wind blows, and just generally using more fuel, more money, and more time at the shop for maintanance. I hate them. ford will loose customers, maybe not enough to matter, but they will loose them. and if this new engine has that urea "tank" thing or whatever it is, many more people will go to another brand. Plus have you guys seen the videos with the duallies??? WHOLY UGLY FENDERS BATMAN!! over all i think truck looks pretty good, grill a bit big, but looks good all around until I saw that dually fender. that thing is ugly, what were they thinking? it looks like the dodge mega cab fender, only bigger and uglier. usually these new changes grow on me as see them more and more, but this one is getting worse, each time i find some new info or pics, I get a little more turned off to it.
