I don't think Patrickrc51 meant every Ford Tech. Not every mechanic comes to work in a Ford dealership and is trained from the ground up in the Ford mechanic's school. They come in off the street and nobody knows how good they are until the complaints start to come in.
Having said that, I would like to put in a good word about a Ford tech at the dealership that services my truck. Just like Patrickrc51, this guy drills down into the problem until he comes up with the proper fix. Yeah, sometimes it costs me an extra amount for the labour, BUT I haven't had to come back a second time with him with my last two trucks. He's the only one that services my truck and what he says I believe.
I'm sure that you are just as conscientious as Patrickrc51 and as for myself, there wasn't any slight intended. I read pretty thoroughly through the posts and I do see a lot of repetitive visits that are suspect. I'm not posting to insult, it's just an observation and that's just my belief.
I've also taken a lot of valuable information from this forum from non-mechanics to others who claim to be genuine Ford techs and I've no reason to doubt their credibility (techs).
