Dreaded EGR Problem
I have been having a problem with my truck (05 F-350 6.0) and no turbo boost. I pull a 12K 5er 95% of the time so I thought I would not have coking or a EGR problem. The truck has 20K on it. I was told that the fuel is causing the problem but will be fixed under warranty this time but next time the EGR fix is my problem if I don't use a fuel additive. They are also putting a kit in the turbo because it is also sticking. What a bunch of crap. Now Ford is blaming the fuel for EGR problems? Has anyone else been told to use a fuel additive to stop EGR problems or is this something to get out of warranty claims?
