Sorry to dig up an old post, but - do you recommend the "firm" or "soft" hose? I would think the soft, but wanted to check...

Here are the Part #'s

*** These are all for my '88 7.3L IDI Diesel Engine***

FIRM Black Viton Hose for the hoses between injectors: 5119K13 = $5.02 per foot (1/'08)
(also available in Green and Brown: 5119K861 = Green., 5119K864 = Brown)
SOFT Black Viton Hose for the hoses between injectors: 5119K43 = $5.61 per foot (1/'08)

5 Feet should be enough

FIRM Black Viton Hose for the hoses from the fuel tank to fuel pump & to the return line on the back of the engine: 5119K21 = $15.26 per foot (1/'08), {5119K891 = Green. 5119K894 = Brown)
SOFT Black Viton Hose for the hoses from the fuel tank to fuel pump & to the return line on the back of the engine: 5119K51 = $14.79 per foot (1/'08)

3 Feet should do.

I'm Doing all these hose replacement as precautions before running BioDiesel...
