Fuel additive is a good thing. But it is NOT the fix-all for EGR valve related issues.Extended Idling will cause problems. These engines also need to be worked which helps keeps deposits down in the Intake and Turbo. But with the Crankcase vapors that are routed back into the intake and combine them with the Dirty exhaust that the EGR blends back in.You will still have a certain amount of Oily gunk building up in the Intake and on the EGR valve. There are No other ways to Not have this occur with the system intact. So Ford is giving you the run around on that.
