I had a similar problem last spring only to find that it was my starter. I was leaking oil on my starter and it ceased up my starter. Replaced the starter and fired right up. I also diagnosed a lot of the stuff other are recommending. I am new to doing my old mechanical work though so take this with the grain of salt!!
