You're absolutely right, the Edge does re-calibrate the speedo and you can put it on the display. However if my electrical shortage keeps making me input the rev/miles of my tires every time I plug in the heater, I'll have to back it up with the factory speedo (which varies between 3-8 mph). I'll follow up tomorrow and see if the same problem occurs. Perhaps it was "Murphy" at work.
