V8s especially with twin turbos take up too much room. I6 is usually easier to work on due to the extra room as long as the cab is not on top of the motor. I am not gonna go into the debate of power between the two because the debate would never ever ever ever end. I just like things to be simple and roomy to work around. And cheaper parts. Although any parts made today are expensive. Simplicity is the key to excellent engineering.
