Rust Issues.. anyone else in northeast?
2000 here, 157,000 miles.. noticing some general rust problems.. got under the truck today and was amazed.. the bed 'mounts, bolts rails'.. etc whatever you call them are splintering badly.. the rest of the undercarage looks like normal rust for living in the northeast.. my cousin lookin at it and was amazed as well.. he said by the look of these bed 'mounts, bolts rails whatev they are' I would think other things under the truck would be more corroted.. anyone 'up here' have significant rust problems.. obvi i' in the northeast 'rain salt sand' but i guess im askin if anyone have to replace the bed frame rails or whatever you want to call them.. or had major rust problems under the frame that needed fixing..
and if so what was the fix, and possuble total cost etc..
my cuz has a 05 duramax that he plows with and says everywinter he gets under the truck with a gallon of wd4 from napa and sprays everything.. would this help me or just help brake up the horrible rust here and cause early breaking of these rusted parts?
