I havent ran my truck empty yet(thank god) but my dte is pretty close to where it should be. I always fill up a 1/4 tank or a little under and it always about 36-38 gallons. So not including the 5 gallon reserve that leave with about 5-6 gallons and at 12 mpg thats within 20 miles of what my dte is reading(usually is reading around 70 miles at fill up).
