Would an Air Dog or FASS take the place of the fuel filter system and offer some relief to the high prices of the filters?
Thanks

You can go to dieselfiltersonline.com and buy the Racor filters (who makes them for Ford) for just under $35/set. The FASS and AirDog standalone systems will run you about $600-$700 plus the additional parts necessary to ditch the entire factory fuel system.
If you are planning to go with big injectors, one of those kits is probably a good investment. However, if the sole purpose of buying one is to get away from the cost of the factory filters, you will need to put an additional 270,000+ miles on your truck for one of those kits to pay for itself.
