last night i did the diy exhuast brake and tested it this mornning.on a good size hill,at the top to the bottom with no brakes on, of the go pedal i dropped 5-6mph from just reg.engine brakeing.same hill and speed with the diy exhaust brake on i lost 17 mph from the top to the bottom.with the exhuast brake on and light brake peadl i lost 25mph.this was done with a empty 75000 lb truck.i would expect to see more exhaust brakeing when loaded.i will be takeing a run down south in a week to p.u. a load of car's.i will be running about 19k on the way back.i will post the result's when i get back.i have the ebpv valve on a switch that i filp when i want it to turn on.so far i would say it was worth the $15 in part's and 1hr to do the install.
