New guy in AZ

Hey guys and gals. I decided to make the jump to a diesel, well actually it is something I have wanted to do for a while but just have not gotten around to it. Anyways I bought a 2001 Ford F-250 super crew 4x4 auto. We have the 7.3L engine and i am fired up to start tearing it down to turn it into what it should be.
I have gotten some great help already from some people here and I am looking forward to suggestions from the pros out there on what to do, and what vendors to use in my build. My goal is to build a bulletproof super strong rig. That being said I am not a guy who is going to try and build a 1000 HP sled pulling machine. I am going for something in the 500HP and 700 ft lbs range.
I am just beginning the research part of this thing so I would love to hear from you on what to do, and who to get products and parts from. I am all about quality on this project and the budget is whatever it takes to get what I want done the right way to prevent disasters in the future. I plan to drive this thing until there is literally nothing left.
thanks for any help you all can give.
