Im not to sure about the slipping in 4th.... but mine had a similar problem with the hesitation going into reverse or drive. I posted on here before this

"I ended up taking it to the dealer and they diagnosed it as the pressure control solenoid. I think it cost around $450 for them to do it. That also included a complete trans fluid and filter change. I have all the diagrams and procedures to have done the work myself, but I didnt really have the time to attempt it. If you are pretty good at repairs you could most likely do it yourself with a friend to help. Its suprising how quickly the truck snaps into gear when shifting from park to reverse or drive now. Let me know if you need anything else. The part numbers they replaced are 4c3z7g383aa (Solenoid) and a 3c3z7z276aa (solenoid Seal)"

Well sweet, I would hope that is my problem. Do you have to pull the tranny to replace the solenoid? I can fix anything as long as I have the right tools.... Give me some more details about this. I dunno if it will fix tha slip into fourth but its worth a shot. Thanks for tha info.
