No you dont have to pull the tranny to R/R the solenoid. You basically have to drain the tranny fluid and drop the pan. Let me see if I can find the diagrams I have showing the location of the solenoid you need to pull. Its honestly not a hard job at all, and it will give you an excuse to change your fluid anyways.
