What do yall think? Time to move on?
I'm sure this isn't where this should be posted, BUT I do have concerns about maintance issues with the 6.0L.
I'm debating on trading my truck in on a newer Mustang GT. I really have no need for a crew cab 4x4 diesel. The maintance costs are, while not putting me in debt, are considerably higher than a gas engine, as are the CA lisenceing fees, and since the fuel pump went out I'm having trouble trusting it to get me where I'm going.
I don't tow anything, and usually only haul what people ask me to haul for them, because I do drive a big truck. Its really just a dog hauler and daily driver for me.
Anyone that drives daily a 03 or 04 with leaf springs know how abusive they can be, and it really isn't that fun to drive on California highways. I haven't used the 4x4 once since I bought it 2 years ago.
I do love the truck, I like the diesel power and sound, and the bigness of it, so those are my only hangups on getting rid of it, its like a brother to me.
My wife is totally against trading it in, I'm not completely sure why, but what do you guys think. Is it time to move on to something that isn't so useless to me?
