I had a '91 ranger, the local quick lube didn't put enough oil back in afterwards, my wife drove it home that way and it over heated and finally lost oil pressure. The lost oil pressure was due to a teflon oil treatment melting and turning into black cottage cheese in the oil pan then plugging the oil pickup.
