My friend at Ford has to take pictures of the destroyed components and send them to International for Approval prior to doing warranty engine repair. He says that sometimes between disassemble and approval may take several days. He said it sometimes takes International a day or two for approval or if it is something unusual then they send a rep out to look at the engine and the truck(looking for aftermarket items that they can use to void your warranty), after that then it is whether the dealer has a complete motor(if that is the warranty fix) in stock, or if they are going to put parts into yours to get it running. If you think it is taking the dealer too long to get back to you call the Service Manger and if that does not help call Ford Customer Care.
