Pinion angle. You have either got improper angle or axle-wrap. Been there, done that with lots of off-road rigs. I admin that I havent lifted my Ford, but I have done a lot of suspension mods on other 4X4s, and what you describe fits pinion angle problems exactly.

Lift blocks are widely recognized for causing excessive axle wrap, but because they are cheap lift, people keep hoping against experience. Never ever no matter what DO NOT use lift blocks. Period. Ever.
