I think I am experiencing the same thing here. I have a groaning sound at about 1900rpm. Initially this was heard just a few times, now it's all that time. Less noticeable once I get moving and the truck starts warming up. It's not the fan, as I am used to hearing that and know what it sounds like. I have taken it to the dealer and they are ordering exhaust parts, but I wasnt able to talk to the tech to see what was ordered. I think they are ordering this crossover that you mentioned. Also, there is an occassional squeal now; kind of sounds like a fan belt squeal , but more intense.
I read in these forums where people are suggesting the groaning sound that I am hearing may be normal fan noise, heater core hoses and elbows under the air box; but this noise is something else, it's more like a groaning or moaning sound, almost similiar to a bear groaning.
Does this sound about what your truck was doing and did the exhaust parts fix your vehicle?
Does anyone elese out there have any information about his crossover member for the exhaust?
