I lost my tranny due to the diode issue 2 months ago . at under 60,000 miles ......I got a local guy to rebuild it with a billet torque converter and it cost me 1900.00 out the door. 12 month 12,000 warranty ....ford wanted 3500.00
To brian or his employees who read this forum ......you are pricing yourself out of the market ...you might have the best tranny in the world but if I can't afford it you can't sell it. I had already taken a hit on the tranny itself no matter what the cost as it should have been recalled from ford. I was not going to pay between 4000-5000 plus the cost of travel ect to go to BTS it's just not justifyable ....I wil never buy a heavy duty truck again with an automatic tranny no matter who makes it period it's not worth the headache.
If this recession/mini deppresion hasn't hit you at BTS yet it will soon ....I look in the used truck adds and they are filled with diesel trucks people can't get away from them fast enough ....I am on the tipping point myself but she is almost paid for sooo I might as well keep it I know I would take a loss on the sale.
